The tiny house offers
Features
The tiny house is like an empty apartment, is currently located in the Biel region, and can be furnished to your liking. The lighting is already permanently installed. The kitchen is particularly generously equipped and allows for unrestricted cooking, just like in a normal apartment. The tiny house offers space for 4-6 people.
Kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and a boiler for hot water. The tiles are handmade ceramics. An extra-large sink makes it easy to wash baking trays.
Living area with bench
The sofa can be transformed into a bed and sleeps 2 people. Three drawers under the sofa provide storage. Bed linen can be stored behind the backrest, inside the frame.
Sleeping area in the loft
The sleeping area is built with Swiss stone pine. It has a bed frame and a mattress that can be replaced. The main light consists of two LED strips (to the left and right of the bed) and bedside lamps allow a flexible lighting setup.
Bathroom with composting toilet
If sanitary facilities are available on site, the small room can be used as a pantry or storage room. Otherwise, an easily removable composting toilet is installed.
Stairs & storage
The stairs lead up to the sleeping area and provide integrated storage. A sliding door allows the space to be divided. High-quality Bakelite switches control the lighting.
Solar-ready
Two batteries allow energy storage. Internal connections for 12V (light, fridge, composting toilet), 230V and 5V (USB) are available.
Solar-ready
A Victron Multiplus unit is installed on the outside wall; it charges the batteries and converts 230V to 12V (light, fridge, composting toilet). No photovoltaic panels have been installed yet.
Boiler
Boiler and pipes in the base cabinet under the sink. Water can be connected from outside with a standard garden hose connector.
Fridge
A relatively large 12V compressor fridge for maximum energy efficiency.
Living room with pellet stove
The living room is an inviting space with a pellet stove. The lamps are made of translucent porcelain and create a pleasantly warm light.
Water connection / drain
With a garden hose connector, water can be connected from outside. A drain is available to let the water out again.

What the tiny house needs
Requirements
This tiny house is a mobile home on an agricultural trailer. You can place it on a private plot or at a campsite. The kitchen has a water supply and drainage. The bathroom is equipped with a ventilated composting toilet that operates dry. Power is supplied via a mains connection – with the option of adding solar panels to the system later.

Who we are
Sarah
Sarah works as a special needs early childhood educator and is a trained farmer. She likes to spend her free time reading, cooking, doing yoga, in the forest or in the water.
Yves
Yves works as a vocational trainer in IT and devotes his free time to various projects – from roasting his own coffee beans to making his own tableware.
Why we are selling
We built the tiny house as a couple, and because of our separation we have decided to put it up for sale.
Concept
The idea
We wanted to build as sustainable a tiny house as possible. The wood in the sleeping area is Swiss stone pine from the canton of Graubünden, while the beams are made of Douglas fir from the Bern region (within a 20 km radius of the Federal Palace). The façade's Douglas fir comes from Willisau, and the ash used for the floor in the dining area, kitchen and WC comes from the Biel region.
For the insulation we used sheep's wool from the Swiss company Fisolan.
Our approach: rather less, but better and more durable. The entire tiny house is built with high-quality craftsmanship – every detail was implemented with great care and cannot be compared with off-the-shelf products from the internet. A tiny house that lives ecologically not despite its simplicity, but because of it – reduced in space, rich in craftsmanship and respect for nature.
